CURRENT SEWER RATES

The following sewer rates are effective as of January 1, 2024. Bills are generated quarterly and are based on water consumption.

Residential Customers:

 

Metered Residential.....0 – 3,000 Gals - $99.45

Each Additional 1,000.....Gals $9.67

Use Per Quarter

 

Example: A Customer using 10,000 gallons in a quarter would be billed the following:

Minimum bill for the 1st 3,000 gallons $99.45

Remaining 7,000 gallons (7 x $9.67) $67.69

Total Quarterly Bill: $167.14

Unmetered Residential.....$191.31 (Flat rate based on 0 – 12,500 Gals)

Commercial Customers:

 

Metered Commercial.....0 – 3,000 Gals - $104.41

Each Additional 1,000.....Gals $10.15

Unmetered Commercial......$226.21 (Flat rate based on 15,000 Gals minimum)

Residential Tap Extension Fee (Valid for 60 Days)…..$50.00

Commercial Tap Extension Fee (Valid for 90 Days).....$100.00

SERVICE FEES and CHARGES

Sewage Lien Letter Fee…..$25.00

 

Sewage no‐lien letters can be provided to the Customer, closing company, real estate agency, or attorney for all sales and/or refinances of properties within our service area. The cost for a sewage no‐lien letter is $25.00 and must be received in advance of issuance of the letter. No faxed copies of checks will be accepted.

 

House Sale Inspection Fee.....$150.00

 

Pursuant to Penn Township Ordinance No. 630, an inspection of the sewer lateral line is required prior to the sale, transfer,

assignment, or refinance of any real property within our service area. The cost for this inspection is $150.00 and must be recieved before an inspection can be scheduled. No faxed copies of checks will be accepted.

 

Service Fee for Posting Property…..$20.00

 

If a property has been posted due to non‐payment, a $20.00 fee will be charged. This fee must be paid in CASH, along with the outstanding balance due at time of posting.

 

Service Termination Fee…..$50.00

 

If water service has been shut off due to non‐payment, a $10.00 fee will be charged. This fee must be paid in CASH, along with the outstanding balance due at time of shut off. (ADDITIONAL FEES MAY APPLY FOR MAWC)

 

Service Restoration Fee…..$50.00

 

Before water service will be restored, an additional $10.00 fee must be paid in CASH, along with the $10.00 service termination fee, and the outstanding balance due at time of shut off. (ADDITIONAL FEES MAY APPLY FOR MAWC)

 

Service Fee for Returned Checks (NSF)…..$20.00

 

Service Fee for Intermittant Deduct Meter Reads…..$20.00

 

A $20.00 service fee will be charged if an inspection is required to reinstate deduct meter privileges.

Late Fee (after 20 days of net due)…..5%

 

Finance Charge (monthly).....1%
